The inspiration for The Blue Star Boutique came from the Blue Star network, which is made of families with loved ones serving in any one of our Armed Forces, and the Wounded Warrior Project, which is an organization dedicated to making the world a better place for those returning from service with both physical and psychiatric injuries. I had the pleasure of participating in a Wounded Warrior Project 8K run, and I was moved beyond words by what these service members have endured and overcome. As a military mom, I pray that my babies will never need the services of the Wounded Warrior Project, but I want the money to be there if they ever do. And if it's not my soldiers, I want the money to be there for any of the other military members who may need help getting their lives back together and become whole again.
